A research project that translates plant data into sound. Developed during a residency at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto in collaboration with researchers in plant biology, the work is based on ultrasonic acoustic emissions produced by trees, which are recorded as numerical data rather than audible sound. Using these datasets the work generates two time-based sound systems: one translating real-time acoustic events and the other expanding a single recorded event across a twelve-hour cycle.
